The inauguration of the Dubai Harvard Foundation for Medical Research in 2006 launched a new era of scientific exploration and discovery in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East region.
Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, DHFMR is designed to support centers of excellence for specialist medical education, life science research and technology leveraged healthcare.
DHFMR will help create and sustain a regional community of leaders in medicine and the life sciences. DHFMR's impact is far-reaching; it will encourage future researchers, scientists and medical practitioners to address the most pressing healthcare needs of the Middle East region and work towards scientific breakthroughs.
Key to DHFMR's success are the research programs supported by the Foundation through the generosity of its donors. With the philanthropic support of individuals who share the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, DHFMR is positioned to support innovative research relevant to Dubai, the UAE and the Middle East region.

The Foundation was established to support to support scientific investigation, providing guidance in the development of academic programs aligned with regional need, and helping to foster collaborations between scientists all over the world, with the ultimate goal of creating groundbreaking discoveries that advance medical practice.
The Dubai Harvard Foundation for Medical Research gratefully acknowledges the contributions and support of its Founder Members. These individuals share the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and with their generous support DHFMR will be able to provide funding for specialize research, fellowships and training opportunities for talented scientists from the region who will focus on health issues that affect the regional population.
