Monday, May 19, 2008: Khalaf Ahmed Al Habtoor Drives Medical Research by Committing Funds to Dubai Harvard Foundation for Medical Research: TKhalaf Ahmed Al Habtoor, Chairman of Al Habtoor Group has contributed AED18.35 million (US$5 million) to the Dubai Harvard Foundation for Medical Research (DHFMR) to support its efforts to raise the bar of healthcare excellence in the Arab world. The contribution will make Al Habtoor a founder member of the Dubai Harvard Foundation (News article).
DHFMR Seed Grant Program 2008: The DHFMR Seed Grant Program will make awards available to collaborative research initiatives that are in the conceptual or early stages of development. These awards are intended to encourage and support collaborations between HMS research centers or labs and their counterparts in the Middle East region at the beginning phase of their research partnership (link to Seed Grant page).

Second annual Science Writers Fellowship Program: Dubai Healthcare City, a member of Tatweer, and The Dubai Harvard Foundation for Medical Research in collaboration with Dubai Press Club, announced the opening of the application process for the second annual Science Writers Fellowship Program.
